We started working with an architect three months before we actually purchased the house. The idea was to save time, and we are glad we did. He just finished his fifth sketch, and I think we are good for the inside and the outside, so we should be able to ask for the building permit by early February.
There is so much potential on this home, but also so many alterations that have been made on it over the decades (it dates from the early 1800). The latest addition dates from the 1970s, I let you imagine the style...

Voilà l'idée de distribution des pièces, et oui il y a environ huit mois de travaux!

This is the cellars level (ground floor) and the old sheep pen which will become a guest room.

Au rez-de-jardin: les caves et l'ancienne bergerie qui deviendrait une belle chambre d'hôtes avec le bureau d'Olivier au dessus.

Nous avons commencé à travailler avec un architecte dès octobre, et heureusement, car il en est à sa cinquième esquisse! Il y a tant de potentiel et de possibilité pour cette maison que les idées ne manquent pas. Par contre, datant du début 19ème siècle, il y a aussi eu beaucoup de restructuration sur cette maison. La dernière datant des années 1970 a laissé beaucoup de béton...
