Cozy home!

We are now well settled in our home as the days get cold. What a pleasure! The furniture will need to be adapted, but we can toast and be warm in our cozy living room with views.

 Ca y est, nous voici bien installés pour l'hiver. Notre salon est très confortable et nous sommes au chaud avec de magnifiques vues pour apprécier les jours de grand froid.

As for the dining room, we now have our official table that my mother-in-law gave us and sanded perfectly. We are enjoying the yummy meals she makes us!

La salle à manger prend forme avec sa table, qui vient de Bretagne, merci Clau pour le cadeau, le ponçage, et les repas!

The mezzanine (aka reading room) is also done, we just have to make the shelving for our many books...

 La mezzanine, notre future bibliothèque où il ne manque plus que les étagères est aussi achevée.

The third guest room is also finished: Gamay and we love it! We thought it would be the most challenging one facing north, with a low beam, but we are super happy with its coziness. The last room to be done will be ours, of course...

La troisième chambre d'hôtes est terminée. On se demandait ce qu'elle allait rendre exposée au nord avec une poutre basse... Nous sommes ravis du résultat, elle est très chaude!

Now, we are in the final stage: refurbishing old furniture.

Nous attaquons donc la dernière phase: la restoration de vieux meubles.

Our goats and hens are doing well, they were not happy at first with the first snow flakes on the ground, but they have adapted to their winter diet!

We are enjoying our first full winter home, with a few walks when time permits and of course some local wine tasting...

Nous apprécions notre premier hiver à la maison, avec quelques balades dans la région, et plusieurs dégustations de vin...
